What is Psychosexual Therapy?

Integrative Psychosexual Therapy focuses on working with individuals, couples, and diverse relationships, in their sexual and relationship difficulties, by using a therapeutic, educational, and behavioural approach. I like to emphasise that psychosexual therapy is not just for difficulties or crises, but it may also be used proactively, for sexual maintenance and wellbeing, for sexual growth and exploration.

I’ve studied the Homeodynamic Model (Laffy 2013), which explores the connection between mind and body in a holistic manner, by drawing on knowledge from psychotherapy, bodywork therapies, and neuroscience.

There is constant communication between our brain, organs and body systems, emotions and thinking processes, and back again, all in nanoseconds. In reality, all areas or elements are triggering and responding to all the others, all the time. This model thus suggests that human experience is Homeodynamic: constantly in movement, in internal and external interaction.

I can support with the following:

I am now available to work with and support individuals and couples/relationships in any sex, sexuality, and relationship matters. Sometimes the therapy will focus on one of the areas below, but often it will be a combination of a few, or all of them.
